VOCATIONAL TRAINING LEVY collection starts 1st October,2008

Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) wishes to inform all stakeholders and members of the public that the Vocational Training (Levy) Order 2008 will become effective on the 1st October 2008. Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) will start collecting the national training levy on that date. Please consult the schedule for the educational seminars that are being conducted throughout the country to learn how the levy will be collected and the reimbursement for training procedures.

BOTA in conjunction with BURS would like to invite Employers, Tax consultants, Accountants and Business Community to Vocational Training Levy Seminars.

What is the Seminar about?

The objectives of the seminar are:

To inform the Business Community and Tax advisers on requirements of the Training Levy.
To highlight the procedures to be followed in paying the training levy and claiming the reimbursements of the training expenditure from the Vocational Training Levy Fund.

Who should attend?

Employers, Tax consultants, Accountants, and Business community in general.
